One of the all time favorite dishes to make for breakfast, brunch - really anytime! This is a quick, simple recipe that anyone can whip up. Here's how we made ours:
INGREDIENTS:
7 strips of bacon (I'll use more next time -lol)
6 eggs
2 green onion stalks
1 pie crust
3/4 cup of half & half (or heavy cream)
1/2 red bell pepper
1 cup of shredded cheese ( I used sharp cheddar and mozzarella)
1/2 Tsp salt
1/2 Tsp fresh black pepper
1 Tsp garlic powder
1 Tsp onion powder
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees
If using a pre-made pie crust, poke holes on the bottom with a fork
Let it bake for about 10 minutes
Then fry your bacon, put on plate with paper towel , when cool crumble
In a mixing bowl, add the eggs, onions, heavy cream, cheese, bacon, sale & pepper and any other seasonings you like (I used garlic powder and onion powder)
Mix well
Once the pie crust is cool, pour the mixture into the shell (only 3/4 full)
Place in oven and bake for about 45 minutes (or until done. keep checking.)
Let cool and enjoy!
