Fettuccine Carbonara - such great flavors with smoky bacon, garlic and garnished with parsley. Easy and delicious!
Ingredients:
1 pound of smoked bacon
12 oz of fettuccine
Half a stick of butter
1/2 cup of parmesan cheese
4 cloves of garlic
1 small can of evaporated milk
Few sprigs of Italian leaf parsley
Pepper to taste
Directions:
Bring a pot of water to a rolling boil
Add your fettuccine to the pot
Slice your bacon in 1" pieces, fry until done
Reserve some bacon grease in pan
In a small pot add the butter and put on low heat
Add the minced garlic
Add some fresh cracked pepper
Slowly add the parmesan cheese and evaporated milk to pot
Whisk constantly
Once thicker, add crumbled bacon
After noodles are al dente - put them in the frying pan
Pour the mixture over the noodles and mix together
Replate on a platter and garnish with parsley
