This is a super easy and delicious treat for old and young alike! You can get creative with the types of cheeses you use for this sandwich! Just make sure you select cheeses with the correct PH balance so they melt properly!
INGREDIENTS:
1 lb of bacon (thin cut better than thick , in my opinion)
Cheese - I used Gouda, Gruyere and Manchego
A hardy bread that will hold up in the frying process. I used a multi-grain artisan loaf
DIRECTIONS:
Grate your cheese and set aside
Lay your bacon strips on a cutting board, overlap slightly
Lay one slice of bread on top of the bacon
Evenly spread your cheese on the bread slice
Put the top piece of bread to complete sandwich
Wrap/pull the bacon around the bread.
Start another layer of bacon (for the other side)
Flip sandwich over and completely wrap sandwich
Place in a hot pan. Depending on thickness of bacon cook for 3-7 minutes per side. Don't forget the sides!
When done - cut in half and enjoy!
