Bacon, Crab & Spinach Dip

Super delicious and great to make for any occasion! Versatile too so you can change up the ingredients to customize to your taste buds! Here 's how we made it:


INGREDIENTS:

  • 5-6 strips of bacon

  • 8 oz of crab meat

  • 8 oz of cream cheese

  • 1 pkg of frozen spinach

  • 1/4 of a red onion

  • 2-3 garlic cloves

  • 1/2 cup of mayo

  • 1/2 lime (for the juice)

  • 1/2 Tsp smoked paprika

  • Fresh cracked black pepper

  • Bread crumbs or panko for topping

  • 1 green onion

  • 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1/4 cup of shaved parmesan cheese


DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

  2. Fry the bacon, set aside on paper towels to drain

  3. When bacon is cool - crumble into small pieces

  4. Reserve some bacon grease and sauté onions and garlic

  5. In a baking dish add the softened cream cheese, onions & garlic

  6. Drain spinach well and add to mixture

  7. Add crab meat and crumbled bacon (reserve a little of both for garnish)

  8. Squeeze half a lime in the mixture

  9. Add the smoked paprika and black pepper

  10. Mix really well

  11. Add some parmesan cheese and bread crumbs to the top

  12. Bake for about 30 minutes

  13. Remove from oven and add some mozzarella cheese to the top

  14. Sprinkle the reserved bacon bits and crab meat to the top

  15. Sprinkle the sliced green onion on top for additional garnish

  16. Serve with sturdy crackers or veggies. Enjoy!


You can use whatever you like in this versatile recipe! So add artichokes, change up the cheeses, add broccoli - whatevs! Do it people!
